A standard item from BEAMS BOY, the thermal cut and sew, has been updated. The flat seam details remain the same, but the size has been revised. A small update point is that the straight seam at the armhole has been slightly curved. In addition, the length of the cuffs has been made longer and the circumference of the cuffs has been made slightly smaller to fit better. This allows the sleeves to gather slightly around the cuffs, giving the impression of movement around the arms. The shoulder width has also been updated to be slightly wider.
Flat seams are a special sewing method developed by an American company around the 1960s that makes the seams flat. A special sewing machine is used to press the fabric flat and sew two pieces of fabric together using one or five needles and six threads. It is a very valuable detail because it can only be sewn with a limited number of machines.
